Swallowfield Fishing Club

Swallowfield Show 24th & 25th August 2008

As you may or may not be aware, the annual Swallowfield Show will be held over the late August Bank Holiday weekend and once again the club intends to have a stand there to advertise our presence within the local community. It is a great oppertunity to meet people, both anglers and non anglers alike and potentially recruit some new members along the way too. As usual, the display board will have all of the lastest pictures on show along with pictures of the rivers and decoy pond.

Over the last two years we handed out over 60 membership forms per show and talked to many people either returning to angling or just starting out. There were of course, those people local to the community that never realised there was such a club. Also over the last two shows, any new member wishing to join on the day will have the joining fee waived as an incentive.

If anyone would like to help out for a couple of hours in either day then the club would be most grateful. Everything should be finalised at Augusts committee meeting and anyone offering their services will of course be notified.
