Rain Dampens Chairman's Cup But All Catch.
Rivar Lake, Greenham Common played host to the Chairman's Cup this year on the 5th October 2008. The clubs previous visits to this lake have nearly always been after a hard frost from the night before which pretty much stops all the fish from feeding. This time however the rain did not seem to put the fish off allowing all of the ten anglers to catch something. The rain stayed for nearly all of the match with the odd break here and there. Only Roach and Perch were taken over the five hours mainly on maggot and caster. Well done to Dave Clark for winning the match and the Golden Peg. The results are below.
