Chub All In One Place For Founders Day Match
The first match of the new year took place on Sunday 4th January 2009. The rover match saw 10 anglers initially spread out along the entire length of the Blackwater River on a very cold frosty morning. Luckily there was no wind which would have made the day bitterly cold. As the match progressed, a few of the anglers made there way to new swims to try and tempt fish from the river, but overall it would make no difference as onlty 2 of the 10 matchmen would catch. The winner would eventually claim six fish from his swim and loose 2 more with the second placve man taking a single fish. All of the fish caught were chub. The results are as follows.
